    Salary - Presently, the salary of the President of India is Rs.5,00,000 per month. In 2016, it was 1.5 lakhs per month and was raised later.

    Perks and Allowances - The president gets free housing and medical care. She will get Rs.1,00,000 annually for office expenses. She gets to travel free by train or by air anywhere in the world. The president also gets secretarial support from two peons, a private secretary, and a personal assistant.

    About Residence - Rashtrapati Bhavan is the official residence of the president of India. It has 340 rooms and an area of 2,00,000 square feet. Also, the president has two official retreats where she can go on vacation, one in Shimla's Mashobra and the other in Hyderabad's Bolarum.

    Security - The President gets a custom-built Black Mercedes Benz S600 (W221) Pullman Guard with a state-of-the-art security system. The president is guarded by the elite unit of the Indian Armed Forces. The car of the President does not have a number plate, it contains a national symbol instead. It is bulletproof and shockproof. Specific details about the car are not revealed due to security reasons.

    Retirement Benefits - Post retirement, the President gets many benefits such as a monthly pension of Rs.2.5 lakhs. The president also gets a rent-free bungalow, two free landlines, and a mobile phone. President also gets five personal staff, Rs 60,000 a year for the expenses of the staff, and free travel with a companion by train or air.
